This was my first visit to Chevy's Fresh Mex. We were seated quickly, although they were busy. Our server was attentive but not hovering. There were three of us and we had fajitas, chimichangas and tacos, and a quesadilla. The food was good, typical Mexican fare. The prices were competitive for NYC and Chevy's had just started a pay at your table service which is nice. Overall, we were satisfied and would visit again.
The restaurant was clean and had a fun atmosphere.

This restaurant has plenty of room. It's not intended to be a fancy restaurant. It has great Margarita and chips. It is a nice break from the crowded streets.

If you've been to a Chevy's anywhere in the US, you'll feel at home here. I like this place because it's right on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th so it couldn't be more convenient. They usually have specials early in the evening; and, of course, their margaritas are to die for. Service is good and they have instituted a pay system right at your table so your credit card is never taken away by the waitstaff. Now, that's cool.

Being from Texas, we're pretty picky about our Mexican food, but we were not disappointed here. We stopped in at Chevy's after our original Times Square destination restaurant was too crowded.

The booths were ample for a family of four, and we were seated right away. The chips and queso were good, exactly as we were expecting. The serving sizes here are large, so bring your appetite. The kids shared a platter(and it really is a platter) of their combo entree. I ordered the tostado salad, and it was huge. It, too, could have easily fed two. The ingredients were fresh and crisp; it comes with a ranch dressing on the side. Perhaps more options of dressings would have made it even better. Citrus chipotle maybe?

It was a birthday celebration, so we had the Ooey, Gooey, Browny Sunday. This ice cream, Oreo cookie, brownie concoction was gobbled up immediately.

The service was friendly and attentive without hovering. We definitely were not rushed out of the table; in fact, you may have to ask for your check when you're ready.

Escape the madness of the Times Square crowds by stepping into Chevy's if you're ready for some warm Mexican food. The prices are reasonable and portions generous.

This was by far the worst place we visited while in NYC. Service was HORRIBLE! Food was not that great either.. (the tortilla soup was good) Waitress never brought us silverware, we had to ask for it after our meal arrived. Seemed to me that no one cared whether or not the customers were waited on. Not a place I would recommend to anyone.
