The service was slow, and the food was average. The view of Central Park was nice. We were dining with a large party and it took a while to receive our entrees. Many of our desired wine labels were unavailable. The staff seemed like they weren't communicating and confused.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel for one night and got the continental breakfast included in the room. Even for free it's over priced. The Hampton Inn has a better breakfast bar. The coffee was great- to bad it took almost 20 min. to get a cup. Eggs, beacon and coffee were all good and hot, but cost $80. NO LIE.. and No tip for our waiter. We complained so loud they comped us.

liked this place,'cause it reminded me of breakfast at Westin Paris or Ritz Madrid: antique furniture, silver cutlery, solid eldery servers, calme and conservative ambience. Continental breakfast included in packages is very simple -fruits, backed goods etc. You can order another options in menu, but frankly speaking,

The restaurant is on the 2nd Floor of the Helmsley Hotel. It was a Saturday night and when there is a Open Table 1000 point bounty and we are looking for a quiet place, well it was quiet that Saturday Night. The view of Central Park is amazing, the architecture and high ceilings are fabulous. The Axminister Carpet was fabulous and the building it self with Marble Walls and the lobby really should be seen. The chairs were a bit long in the tooth and the foam seats were a bit sagging. Short Menu but very good food. The Arugula and Carmalized Pear Salad was an interesting starter and we had the Cod with beans and Chiorizo as well as the Pumpkin Ravioli
I get the sense that the restaurant is from another time and it is sort of like visiting an exhibit. Glad I went and it might be nice for brunch with a view of the Park. Stay away from Mrs. Helmsly favorite Key Lime Pie. She did not know good key lime pie.

Average food, average options, average environment and ammenities. Would never go if not staying in the hotel. We went because of the convenience of staying in the hotel.
