“Great authentic Japanese food”

Went there during restaurant week. Ate in the tatami room with 10 people. Tatami room was perfect for kids. Food tasted authentic. Dessert was great.

“Excellent variety of food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

The food is excellent and the menu was surprisingly varied. Lots of small dishes. More limited on the sushi than some places, but excellent clay rice pots. Service was excellent. A bit pricey, but hey, its New York.

“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

EN Japanese restaurant is possibly the best Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. The choice on the menu was massive with our starter containing every type of sushi and sashimi combination and still being nice. The mains were also very nice with the Kobe beef being especially nice. We ordered too much food but it was worth it just to try lots of the food on the menu. Great restaurant!

“tofu at its best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

A japanese restaurant that has style, and excellent tofu, ( as well as other dishes). Yes, its not a good value, but your taste buds will thank you. Excellent crab miso soup, and home made fig ice cream are perfect book ends to your meal. Not the best sushi, ( the pieces could be bigger), but dont miss the rice with uni, or salmon, or grilled kobe beef. btw they have private tatami rooms, which are great for a date, or business dinner.

“Visited two nights in a row”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

I was in NYC for business and I was excited about picking restaurants for dinner. I found EN and was intrigued by their tasting menu. I was there for their in-house made tofu. Of the delicious tasting menu, what was most memorable was the 'tofu' dressing they have with the salad, the warm soba in a duck broth. I was so hoping for tofu ice cream, but they had pumpkin that day. Everything was so great that I went back the following night to try more items on their menu.
