“Great alternative view of some of New York”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

Liked all of it. Disliked none of it. If you've not been before, you should definitely not miss this unique place and the changing views as you walk along it.

“Must Do”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

This was a highlight of our trip to NY, such a fantastic idea to convert a disused rail line into a public space for walking and lazing around. There was a section with a few stalls for ice cream and drinks etc and places to sit and just people watch, just an incredible oasis for tourists and locals alike.

“Worth the time but better in Spring.”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

Nice way to see part of NY and worth the trip…but we did in late winter early spring so much of the walk was dead.

“If you only do 1 thing in NYC - do this!”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

A space to walk without being hurried and jostled, get a great view over a fantastic part of the city, and explore some great places to shop and eat on the way. An absolute MUST!

High Line was built on a 1.45 mile section of an elevated section of the New York central railroad, it has now transformed in to this amazing green public space in the middle of the city!

Surrounded by green areas, music, cafes and performers, High line is most definitely a walk worth taking. It is so amazing to see what the desire to preserve an iconic landmark and repurposing it in this manner can do for neighbourhood and the feel of such a densely populated city like NYC.

I Loved it!
Hope you enjoy it too. Please be ware that depending on the time of day and year, there can be more or less activities and events going in that area. Check out the website for more info: http://www.thehighline.org
