The High Line is a must on your trip to NYC. Great for those that live in NYC and want to get away from it all as well as tourists who want to see the city from the "tree tops". We visited on a day when they were celebrating Halloween. There were children and adults alike dressed up for Halloween with events and treats for the kids. We had beautiful weather on this fall day- I am sure it is just a pretty in the spring. There are lounge for sunbathers in the summer as well. Take the time to visit the High Line.

Loved it. Walk it from end to end. Lots of places to sit and rest and even to eat. Best people watching in America. I think I would check it out even if it were rainy and cold.

If you're in the area it's worth a stroll along this beautifully created strip of vegetation high above of the hustle of the city streets below. Like most everything in NYC, this space is well executed, making good use of a space that could have eroded into a blight if left unattended. However that being said, if time is limited with so much else to experience, I probably wait to hit this site 'til I was in the area.
