Such a great thing to do in NYC! We walked the entire length. Go early in the AM to avoid crowds. When we were there there was live music.

Nyc visits used to be full of grime and dirt and little green except for C Park. Noticed lots of beautiful neighborhood gardens this trip,, which was nice, but the High Line, running on the W side of Chealsea straight North for more than 30 blocks is a real jewell. Converted Elevated train chock full of flowers, grasses, and trees. Kudos to NYC for preserving the line and turning it into something special.

A friend and I heard about the High Line by chance and are really glad we paid a visit. It's a quirky, modern oasis surrounded by the madness of New York.

It makes a really nice walk and gives you a different view of the city. I highly recommend during any trip to NY taking an hour to stroll along the High Line.

This park is a wonderful example of urban renewal. An old elevated train track has been turned into a beautiful urban park. My wife and I walked the length of the park on a Monday morning and it was not crowded at all. The sculptures were interesting and we got some great views of the city at the viewing areas. The walk took about an hour at a relaxed pace.

We walked the entire length of the High Line. I loved the fact that the planting was natural, with grasses alongside shrubs, and glimpses of the old railway track. There were places to sit which were designs to blend in with the surroundings. Someone had chosen this place to have their wedding photos taken. Close to south end there was a place for refreshments. At another place there was water overflowing gently across the boards and plants where children could walk through in their bare feet. All very charming.
