This is a lovely walk & huge asset to the area. Planting & sculptures are lovely & congratulations to those campaigners who fought to keep this line

Loved the concept - convert rather than tear down. I like that the original rail lines have been incorporated into this little elevated park. One word of warning - some elevators were damaged in Superstorm Sandy and are still not operational.

After visiting Chelsea Market, I strolled over to the High Line to use to walk back to my hotel. The walkway is beautiful. The flowers surrounding the path are lovely. There are places along the path to sit and people watch. I picked up a Popsicle from a vendor to eat on my journey. Great alternative to walking up the street or taking the subway.

What a creative use of space and great way to preserve a slice of New York's history. We enjoyed walking along the entire length of the highline. There are plenty of places to sit and an area when you can buy coffee and snacks. A must do in NYC. Go in the morning and avoid weekends a sit tends to get very crowded.

What a marvel. The story of how this "park" was created is magical and it is truly a joy to behold. Walking 2 1/2 stories above the noise of the city amid greenery while knowing that you are traversing old abandoned elevated rail line is a powerful experience.
