The food was good, bordering on great, but not nearly worth the high prices. We spent over $2,000 for a small party!

The service was excellent.

My wife and I had dinner at Davios' last night and we both had an enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant is in the heart of the Midtown East business area and probably less crowded on weekends that it is during the work week. It is situated below street level. The restaurant has modern décor and is very welcoming. The staff goes over and above to make guests feel welcome. The menu features steaks and many Italian pastas and other entrees. The wine list features interesting and expensive reds, and there are not many to select under $50.00.

We started with a decent Zin and by sharing a wonderful salad of chicory, apples, radicchio and gorgonzola. My large filet mignon was cooked perfectly rare and accompanied by tarragon truffle butter. My wife's tagliatelle Bolognese was delicious and plated beautifully. Breads are interesting, with crusty Italian, flatbread and rolls served with marinated peppers and flavored butters. Desserts are a treat and presented on a cart with a huge bottle of chocolate grappa. We each had a glass of grappa but at $20.00 per found it a bit steep. Service overall was very prompt and friendly. We both liked it here and look forward to returning soon.

Nice variety of a menu in a Steak house. NYC prices, great service, great for business and/or romance. Tables aren't squeezed together, excellent wine list, great food. I prefer the ambience in their Philly location, but the product is same.

Strongly recommend versus Morton's or Ruth's Chris.

We were really excited to go here, because they had otherwise good reviews. Unfortunately, you cant judge a book by its cover and that goes both ways. While the restaurant is very elegant, and the menu has the appearance of a 5 star restaurant, the bottom line is the food was sub par for the price. The bread is outstanding, and the level of service from the waitstaff was excellent, however the actual meal was pretty unremarkable. We would not go here again.

Stopped in here for dinner on a Wednesday night. My big question coming in was how would this Massachusetts restaurant hold up in NYC in kind of an odd location. Regarding location, it is on Lexington in the 40's in the basement level of a new hotel. The space is very pretty and some of the best wine glasses you will ever drink out of. The food was outstanding as was the service. The restaurant was not crowded, guessing due to location. Overall a great dinner option in this area. I would go back without thinking twice.
