We had lunch tapas at Tia Pol. It was delicious and their Red Sangria was thirst quenching on a hot October(!) day.

“Excellent Tapas”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

We searched out this restaurant, based on TripAdvisor reviews, for an early dinner after a walk on the High Line. It doesn't look like much from the outside but we had the room at the back to ourselves, friendly and knowledgeable service, and terrific tapas with reasonably priced wine by the glass that went very well with the food. We had the scallop special, potatoes, fried fish and spicy shrimp. All were delivered piping hot. We would absolutely return on another visit to New York.

“Lovely tapas, bad seating!!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Though the seating stools were very uncomfortable we really did enjoy our tapa dishes here. The food is to go back to. Service is pleasant and efficient and very reasonably priced - for New York standards!

“Lots of fun, very good food, a little uncomfortable seating wise”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

The staff is wonderful, the food is really good and reminded me of Barcelona tapas, and the wait staff incredibly friendly without being overbearing.
It's a bit uncomfortable at the tables, someone should invest in better seats. Nonetheless, it was packed on a Tuesday night, so what do I know.
Great place. You can't go wrong if authentic tapas is your thing.

“Neighborhood hang out serving authentic tapas at good prices”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We came here because this restaurant was very close to the Gotham Comedy Club where we were seeing a show at 7:30pm. On the phone the hostess said that if we got there before 6pm, no problem, we could get a table. Well, the place was packed, and we were just lucky to get a spot. Hard to find, as there is only a small sandwich board outside. Inside: wall to wall people at a bar and very small tables. Stools are incredibly uncomfortable... but the food is out of this world. Incredible, authentic tapas, coming out of a tiny kitchen. Great variety on the menu, and every dish a winner. Nice Spanish and local beer and wine menu. Sangria is very strong! It's got gin in it, so be careful. You could fall off that stool! Knowledgeable, attentive wait staff. Great, fun meal!
