“Very good”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

We walked from the American Museum of Natural History to this cafe and we were lucky to have a table. We ate lunch here and it was very good. We had wine, coffee, mains and desserts. We had eggs, pancakes, fish and all were perfectly done. Not oily at all.

I would definitely eat here again when we are in NYC again.

“Great food”

I really enjoyed eating here. Down home cooking with great service. It is packed really tight though. The Turkey BLT my suggestion or the hanger steak sandwich.

“Very, very good!”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Came on a Wednesday morning with a couple friends and had to wait in line outside, it was already so busy! We had a plane to catch so we just sat at the bar and ordered pretty quickly. Tried the pancakes, and they were truly the best I have ever had. The maple syrup was the good stuff and an entire little pitcher of it was served with the pancakes, as well as some strawberry butter. Really did remind me of my grandmother's pancakes-pillowy, syrup-absorbent and even flavorful on their own. I would love to return to this place to try dinner as well as the fabulous desserts that sat in the display case next to me. Love the homemade, neighborhood feel of this place and can't wait to go back!

“Good enough to eat like grandma used to make.”

Everything was like home cooking. I would definitely return. It is consistently good. There is a reason there are always lines for Sunday brunch.

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed November 26, 2012 via mobile

We arrived at 11am on a Sunday and joined the line of locals. Waited about 20 minutes which was fine, wrap up though as you queue outside. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious, huge portions. You get a yummy strawberry butter in a little pot with your meal. The salmon and cream cheese omlette was especially good. Most brunch meals were around ten dollars, well worth a visit.
