Description: Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away. We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night. We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme. The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast. We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Un Deux Trois is a French bistro right in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, their prix fixe special for lunch or dinner is a good deal - three courses for under $25. Their a la carte menu for lunch has a wide variety of dishes, from salads to burgers to typically French croque Monsieur, crepes, quiche and onion soup, to something different - I recently had a peking duck sandwich with a side of fries.

Concierge recommended this place as we needed to grab a bite before a matinee. We were seated promptly by a window. The place is quite big but still charming in a way. The service was efficient and for the most part attentive although we did have to ask for more water. Towards the end of our meal, it started to get busy so be aware. My party enjoyed the savory crepes (I had the spinach and feta), burger, and creme brullee. Coffee was good too. Watch out for the white napkins on dark clothing. They didn't have a lint brush so we asked the hostess for packaging tape which worked well. Everyone was very pleasant and I was satisfied with the meal, experience, and the value.

We were here today for lunch, looking for a reasonably priced, good food. We really loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in.Bustling old building with chandeliers/columns. Quite loud as it was packed with the mid-day lunch crowd. We were seated immediately. The waitress was prompt with our orders, the drinks arrived within minutes. I ordered from prix fixe lunch menu, for $21, pate, chicken salad and chocolate mouse. There were two huge slices of pate which I shared with my husband. The bread was nice and warm. Grilled chicken breast was so tender and the greens were very fresh/crisp and lightly dressed. The chocolate mouse was a huge serving. Everything was so fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the lamb burger which had mushrooms, golden raisins and spices and came with fries. He found it very interesting and enjoyed the flavors. The waitstaff were efficient and friendly. Really great, tasty lunch, would recommend this place to my friends.

Cafe Un Deux Trois has been around since 1977 and was THE place to hang out during the 80's.. Well, it's still there, going stronger than ever under the ever watchful eye of the original owner George. Recently I had an amazing beef carapccio, drizzled with truffle oil, lemon juice and spinkled with cracked olives and parsely.. absoluterly sublime. Now, instead of catering to the 'club culture' Cafe Un Deux Trois feeds the theater crowd.. as it's located right in the heart of the theater district.. If you havent been there for a while, check it out again, if you havent been there at all, give it a shot.. High celilings, columns, chandeliers and soft lighting enhance this magical night out..

The food was pretty good. The staff worked extremely hard because it was busy before the late plays. We had salmon which was quite good. The vegetables were over cooked but the meal was good. The restaurant was noisy because of extremely high ceilings but the ceilings are high for a reason. This restaurant is an old classic New York dining room with chandeliers to boot.
