Description: Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away. We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night. We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme. The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast. We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Good selection of fixed price dinners for pre-theatre meals. Vibrant atmosphere. They always ask if you are going to a show and work fast to get you fed and out on time. Friendly atmosphere.

“Food was good, but the service was great!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014

Went here for Sunday brunch while visiting NYC - order fish and chips - the breaded layer on the fish was extremely soggy but the fries were fantastic. Also, they serve the best cappuccinos ever, with a hint of nutmeg on top. My husband had the spinach and goat crepe which he said was OK.
The reason why I'm giving this a very good rating is because 1. for the convenience of where this is located 2. reasonably priced 3. the nicest staff you'll ever come across.
our serve was adorable - they seated us as soon as we got there even though our entire party wasn't there and were very attentive to our needs. it was my birthday so at the end, they brought out this phenomenal chocolate lava cake (best chocolate lava cake i've ever had).
in conclusion, if you're in NYC, and near times square, this is the most ideal french restaurant you could go to for brunch. definitely recommend it.

“Good prix fixe lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

I needed another hit of French food before I left town and this place fit the bill. Good variety on the menu but I tried the prix fixe menu with soup, quiche and desert. The soup was made on site, decent salad and well made quiche. The chocolate desert was the star. Nice place.

“Good food but too noisy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Went here for a business lunch about three weeks ago. The food was good, the service was excellent but it's not really a good place for a business. You had to practically scream to be heard over the din. After 1PM it gets a little quieter.

“By far my worst experience in NYC.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

Let's start with the staff: most of them where rude or seemed to wanna be anywhere else but there.

The food: horrible non-appetizing dishes. Probably the worst presentation I've ever seen...

We were there for breakfast. Some of my potatoes were GREY. They were severely undercooked. They don't seem to know how to grill toasts properly. One of my eggs was overcooked. My husband's dish was horrible as well. Bacon looked like those pre-cooked slices they sell at the grocery store. His eggs were soggy. My husband barely touch his meal and he's usually not a picky eater.

Also, they charge 5$ for the smallest pressed orange juice glass I've ever seen.

To top it all, they automatically added 15% gratuity to our bill (for a party of six, I get it, but not for a party of two). Sorry, we are not in France... we're in America! Gratuity is not an obligation. (We usually tip 18-25% when we're statisfied).

40$ for a breakfast we barely touch because it was making us nauseous.

What a disappointment.
