“It sounds odd but”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2014

Rhubarb and goat cheese - really? Oh yes. The savory-sweet pastries are incredible. The counter woman smiled and we ate a second breakfast with no regrets. This is NOT to be missed.

“perfect quick lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014

We were lucky to get two of the few seats facing out watching the street over lunchtime. The pastries were fantastic both the savoury and the chocolate ones. Although they were little, they filled us up as were dense and generously filled with ingredients.

“Unique Italian breakfast pastries & stellar bread”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014

We were visiting NYC for the weekend, & the 47th Street location of this bakery was near our Hell's Kitchen hotel, Ink 48. We had breakfast pastries here one morning (at the small counter) and another morning bought coffee & pastries to have in our room. They bake all day, so you don't have to worry that they will run out of bread. For our return road trip, we bought wonderful pizzas, and added several loaves of bread (truccio doni & truccio santi) to get us through the following week. I can't wait to go back.

“Delicious. Great for a quick lunch. ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here walking back from a tour in the Intrepid and we wee greeted at the door by Jim Leahy, the owner. Jim is famous for his no knead bread recipe. He has been featured in numerous food magazines including Gourmet and Bon Appetit. He was really welcoming and spent time explaining what had changed since we were there two years ago. He has a new Czech built oven that is environmentally efficient. My family and me lived our lunch! We all ordered different things and they were awesome. My pancetta and mango panino was fabulous.

There is just a small counter in front of the window. Most everything is easy to grab and eat on the go.

While we were there, they brought out a new Bianca and it looked incredible. They use the authentic way to cut it--scissors.

Stop here for lunch. To will not regret it!
