Great food and really close to our accommodation at the Library Hotel. It is also just down from Grand Central Station. Huge serves of food. Beware if you are diabetic, I think most food providers in the USA put sugar in most things, especially hidden in things like hamburger buns.

“Just Awful”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

Disorganised staff, terrible customer service and cooks that can't rustle up 2 steaks in an hour.

We went here for convenience sake and thoroughly regretted it. It took them 15 minutes to ask us what we wanted to eat and a further hour on top at least for our food to arrive. I say at least an hour because we don't actually know if the food ever turned up as we walked out after being told our food will be ready in "3 minutes" for the 4th time. We ended up eating at the Carnegie Deli up the road a few blocks. Well worth the extra effort, suggest everyone else thinking of going to this TGI's does similar. AVOID.

“Worst service ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

We wanted to eat local one Sunday night during our trip and this was about the only place open so we thought we'd give it a go.
Have never eaten in a TGI's before and, if it's like this, will never again.
On entering we were shooed towards a table. Ten minutes later somebody brought us a menu and asked what we wanted so we asked for time to look at the menu. Another 5-10 minutes before our drink order was took then 15 minutes before our order was taken. Food came pretty quickly, half of it was lukewarm but we couldn't complain because there was nobody to complain to - they were all too busy having an argument with each other and avoiding the customers.
We decided to eat and leave and when we eventually got to ask for the bill, the server thought he might get a tip if he was then pleasant to us.
He didn't.
The staff did not appear to have any system working for service and were non-stop bickering, creating a bad atmosphere.
Too expensive to be rushed out but that's what we were.

“Totally dissapointed”

Very poor TGI Fridays, the food was barely warm, the ribs were dry and very over cooked and the coleslaw was almost fermenting. Can't understand how they charge so much and get it so wrong! Avoid if you have a choice.

“Been there, done that”

There are TGIs in UK too and this one didn't stand out as being as good. Food was ok given it was a stormy evening and we needed to find somewhere fast but the waitress didn't go that extra half mile for us.
