Looking for a place to take that special someone in your life? The Water Club is the place. Located on the Eadt River in NY it has a spectacular view and wonderful atmosphere. A little pricey but you will have a great time. Try the moscato if you like a good drink.

We have been to this restaurant that is not on the normal tourists tour but we cannot regret. The place is amazing. A wonderful boat with the view on the river. Food was very good and the price was not too high. I suggest to drink something on the upper deck before dinner! I would definetely come back!

If you are in the mood for boaring & depressing food go to this place. I am a New Yorker and lived in the area for years always pass by. They got hit hard by Hurricane Sandy was closed for awhile. When they reopend we wanted to try it should have stayed close after Sandy or pass it on to someone that could do a better job with this restaurant. Well let me tell you this place is crap!!! when you are ready to die or cry or just feeling like giving up on life. This is the place to go. The waiters all need a freaking laxative to have them moving faster. This place has no life, The service is Slow as hell. The inside is as boring as the food and the service. I know most of the people that dine at this Resturant look like they are about to croak or from some part of Asia. We sat at the table for at least 20 mins before getting a menu we had to ask a busboy for water, the freaking waiter looked like he was afriead to talk to us. PS. This is New York the most cosmopolitan city their is. Did not say welcome or asked if we dined at the Resturant before. Started telling us about specials. The food had no taste boaring like the the ambience inside. Thank God for the view of the Hudson and the boat's passing by to take my mind off the crapy food . Could not waite to get my check and get out of the walking dead Resturant. We Went straight after for drinks at their competition Riverpark down the block. If you can walk on your own the bathroom are Upstairs if you have a walker you can use the one on the ground floor. I came out smelling like freaking bengay because the place smelled like that.
This place is recommended for people 60 and older or people visiting NYC.

This year I was fortunate to spend some time at the Water Club. The barmaid was very helpful and was willing to enter into conversation, I can't remember her name but I do remember that she comes from Poland.
Dan Sweeny, the maître d', was brilliant. He found us a window table with an amazing view.
The food was excellent.
We visited during restaurant week and thought the price was very reasonable.

Though not by the sea, the Water Club does offer great water views up and down the a East River. Both outside on the open air deck, as well as within the plush interior, it is relaxing to watch the marine traffic (ferries, tugs, pleasure craft) on the water. But it's more than the view. Everyone was very pleased with dinner. The oysters were sweet and salty and entres (especially the Bronzino ) were prepared and presented to perfection. Servicevthroughout was first rate. This was a first visit (following a matinee) and worked out perfectly in synch with the nearby Sea Streak ferry. Would definitely do this again.
