I had the Lamb Kafta Kebab, which is ground lamb marinated in spices and it was absolutely delicious!! It's a huge dish. All kebabs are broiled over wood charcoal. They're served with Basmati Rice, Afghan bread & salad. Make sure you put their yogurt sauce on the entire dish because it'll give it a different taste. The yogurt sauce goes wonderfully with the rice and lamb kebab meat.
The person accompanying me had Lamb Tikka Kebab and it was good, but their specialty is the Lamb Kafta Kebab & I highly recommend you get that.

Both were tasty and perfectly cooked. I must say I was positively impressed by the quality of the food.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and makes it for a perfect meal. Service is a tiny bit slow though, but full of smiles. Just don't stop by for a quick eat (unless you want to take out). Everything was super-fresh, and I strongly recommend this place to anyone willing to try something different than the usual American fare.

Had a really good lunch here. Leek dumplings were "to die for!" lamb dish also mouthwatering. Portions just right size, not over large but adequate. Very attentive service. Well worth a trip.

We've been coming here for almost 20 years, maybe 15 times in all, and it's always the same; really tasty, exotic home-cooked food with a jar of wonderful, homemade red hot sauce and coriander chutney, and lots of fresh-baked Afghan flat bread, at a pretty low price, considering the location.
It's tiny, so there may be a wait. The service is really nice. They don't serve alcohol, but you can BYO.

3 of us split a Lamb Kebula Palow and 2 other multi-meat kebabs. Meat and spiced rice were amazing! The lamb and chicken were better than the beef that we got. We were all very satisfied. My husband spent 15 months in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne and had a hankering for this food. On his raves, we ordered some Bulanees (empanadas) and they were pretty lame. Very crispy-fried and with very little filling. Not what he described at all; poor value and not very tasty. Skip those and get more MEAT! Wish we had known it was a BYO. Now you know. Oh, and there are maybe 10 tables total, so go early or plan to wait.
