Went here for a mid afternoon snack as we were having a very late dinner that evening. Nice to see a chain that is going organic!

It is a good place to enjoy breakfast or lunch but it is super expensive.
The food is great - it's mostly organic. The food's presentation is always nice.
The bread is very good - especially the flute (with raisins and hazel nuts).
They have an amazing spreads - the perlin one is outstanding.
I love the upper east side one (although it can be a bit crowded and sometime noisy).

This chain gets a "close but no cigars" rating. Too cluttered, over priced and over the top. Food sounds great on the menu but misses in reality. Hey, it's New York City, find a good diner.

$7.95 for two soft-boiled eggs! We also had a croissant, a basket of bread, and a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich-the total bill was $50 plus a $10 tip for so-so service. I recommend a greasy spoon diner.

All delicious, the bread, butter, caffe au lait, the jams. Open plan seating. Friendly staff and hard to beat
