Description: JoJo offers relaxed yet elegant dining on two floors of a quaint, turn-of-the-century brownstone on the Upper East Side. The first of Jean-Georges’ restaurants in New York City, this neighborhood gem opened in 1991 to rave reviews. It was voted best new restaurant of the year by Esquire magazine and has retained its three-star status from the New York Times for 21 years. Regarding the name, JoJo was Chef Jean-Georges’ nickname as a young boy. Jojo is a hospitable setting for a casual dinner, special occasion, or private party. Guests can feel comfortable in jeans or in evening attire. The contemporary French menu still features some well-loved original dishes, including the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake.

5 family members went here for brunch. Everyone enjoyed their choice. We had Eggs Benedict, a Frittata, Pancakes, and French Toast. All were very good. Nice crispy potatoes. Apples with the French Toast.... quite good. Service was pleasant, however it was difficult to get coffee at times. Not a big deal. We would certainly return.

Fortunately JoJo's participates in NY Restaurant Week giving people like myself an opportunity to sample its otherwise pricey menu on an affordable budget. The decor in this small but well appointed restaurant is old world French with lots of drapes, stripped upholstery and muted colors. The food is fresh and delicious with excellent European style service. They do offer a prix-fixe luncheon regularly for $32 so there is an affordable incentive to return!

Extraordinary dinner in this lovely town house setting. Restaurant week menu made this even more outstanding: $38 for a 3 course dinner worthy of a Michelin star.

As always, the prix-fixe lunch/brunch was excellent. I think it's one of the best values in town. $32 for 3 real courses. I recommend shrimp salad in champagne dressing or peekytoe crab to start. Then get one of the fish entrees (cod or salmon). Then of course, the famous heavenly molten chocolate cake to finish. Yum, and what a great deal!

Enjoyed the very pretty ambience & the flavorful food very much. Service, though attentive, could have been a bit more skilled.
