The food was fantastic...Blue Fin specializes in seafood and sushi.
The service was very friendly and timely.
The live piano + bass jazz was a real treat and really set the mood.
This was an excellent choice for our 10-Year Anniversary.

For dessert, get the Monkeybread!

My favorite seafood restaurant in NY city. Wonderful seafood with a wide selection at not ridiculous prices.

The atmosphere is very modern and classy. We especially like to sit upstairs where they also have a jazz player.

We got in late so we wanted to find a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel: we were in NYC to see a couple of shows and staying in the Times Square area. A manager at the reception desk suggested the Blue Fin Seafood and Sushi Bar, which is one of about 20 seafood restaurants operated by the same company, all of which have a different name. My wife and I shared a Sushi plate that was just okay. Our meals were very good. My wife had had Branzino in Italy recently and really enjoyed the fish, so she ordered the Mediterranean Branzino, served with Japanese eggplant, prosciutto, and zucchini. I ordered the pan seared Halibut, which was served with a herb gnocchi, petit Portobello mushrooms, wilted arugula, and jumbo lump crab meat. Both our fish servings were excellent, well prepared and tasty. The sides were good as well, but mine could have been a bit hotter. Bread basket was excellent as well. While we were there a couple of musicians were playing to make it a nice evening. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant within walking distance with the major hotels around Times Square, that is reasonably priced.

The restaurant is nice, located in the W Hotel in Times Square. The ambiance is fine, if not a bit drab. The food is very good and we both had the salmon which, although my wife's dish having to be returned for slight undercooking, was tasty and good. Service was excellent and because the restaurant felt bad about the salmon, we were provided a free dessert. Prices are average for the location of this eatery in Times Square...and not cheap.
