“Great burger and bloody mary's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I was there 10 minutes before it dawned on me that I'd been to P.J. Clarke's more than 10 years previously, and I don't think ANYTHING has changed in those years. This visit the doorman had recommended it when we were looking for a sports bar where we could watch the Giants. On first view I thought it was probably a tourist trap, but I was gladly mistaken. We sat at the bar and drank some great bloody mary's while munching on a "real" burger and watching the game. The bartenders were extremely busy as the place was wall to wall the entire time, but they managed to give some great service and an outstanding attitude. Lots of celebrity history at this place and easy to see why. Can't wait for my next trip to NYC.

“Very kid friendly! Great service!”

Food was mediocre, service was excellent, considering we had a party of 9 with two small children... Great for families!

“Great”

This place is great for a casual experience. They have really good food, and a oyster bar, but its nothing fancy. Good for large gatherings

“A Time Honored Classic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Visited the other night for an early business dinner. Table location was perfect. Wait staff very attentive. Burgers are the best around. Tasty, cooked to perfection and delicious. I am still dreaming about the Onion strings. So very good! This place is a classic and continue to honor their roots!

“Nice decor; Food just OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

RE: The location across from Lincoln Center.
The onion soup was ok; the turkey burger really mediocre. Fries also not very good. Served on a bland hamburger role that you would expect from a food cart. Lasagna was surprisingly good.
Server seemed uninterested. If you asked for something he was on top of it but no initiative and you had to ask for the most basic things - example, a straw, more water, etc.
Tough neighborhood to find a decent meal at a reasonable price. Prices here re ok for the neighborhood. If only the food was better.
