“Well priced options”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

The food here is yummy, and the prices are low. The staff was also very friendly. The environment was casual, which was nice. There are some nice options on their menu.

“This oyster bar was not so famous”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

All our experience at this restaurant was pretty good but unfortunately we found that oysters were not enough fresh. This was clear in my mind that these oysters had left the sea for long time when we eated that. I told to the waiter that oyster were not fresh and he accepted to change it for new ones. But the new plate was tasting exactly the same.... Did he really change it ??? We will never know, but one thing I know: I will never return to this restaurant.

“Oysters here are better than those at Grand Central Station”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

We had read rave reviews about the oysters at the Union Oyster House at Grand Central Station, but we were a little disappointed in them. However, the oysters here were just the right size, juicy and delicious. I would say choose this restaurant over Grand Central any day, and the prices were more reasonable. We also had their broiled seafood platter, which was very good as well. However, the best part of the meal was definitely the oysters on the half shell!

“Waited 4 years for a return to this restaurant”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

Visited this restaurant 4 years ago when staying in New York for 5 days. Had the surf n turf and have now revisited to see if it was still up to standard. We're staying on 32nd street and had already walked to Central Park that day but just had to walk back to 54th street to eat here again. The surf n turn was just as wonderful and the baked potato was cooked to perfection and veg just right! Followed by the cheesecake which melted in the mouth. Asked to speak to the manager to say that the repeat performance had been just as wonderful. Definitely recommend.

“Foodies”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

Pleasant surprise. Took a chance, just walked in for fried oysters. Ceasar salad was one of the best we ever had fried oysters very light . Good choice . We sat near a window and as people stopped to read the outside menu, we gave them a thumbs up and brought in 2 parties. Our waitress cameby and bought us drinks.. Nice surprise. Would go back again .
