Description: The Beekman Pub is a New York City Irish Bar that has been owned and operated by Jimmy and Eddie Robinson since 1991 and has been a downtown restaurant hot spot since 1936. The Beekman Pub combines cold beer, fresh food and friendly service in a comfortable setting located just one block east of City Hall in downtown NYC. In our irish bar we have an excellent variety of beer, wine and liquor, and the Beekman is one of only a few downtown irish bars that serves a perfect pint of Guinness. We do hope that our pub will become one of your favorite downtown restaurants for business lunches or for just having a drink with co-workers at the end of the day. Since 1936, The Beekman has been catering to Wall Street's biggest & best appetites. Sit down for a drink or spend some time enjoying daily Irish delicacies, seafood specialties & our famous burgers. We now have Direct TV, All NBA Games, 10 Flat Screen TV's throughout the bar. We have MSG, All Knicks, Rangers, Devils and Islanders Games.

i've been drinking here on my visits to nyc over the years and i gotta tell you they pour an excellent pint of guinness. i particularly like the heavy handedness of bartender when i switch to jd! i haven't eaten here, but the restaurant is always busy, sothat's a good sign.

Lots of beers on tap. Right down by the water. Nice views. They have a dress code after 8pm I believe, looked like a young crowd was starting to move in as we were finishing up. We didn't eat just had drinks but looked like a fun place if you were in your twenties after 8

We just popped in for a quick drink and snack and were made to feel very welcome - so we ended up staying for a couple of hours! Good selection of beers and bar snacks (we didn't look at the full menu - but locals were making the most of it - so assume it's good). Felt like a real Irish pub - not a plastic / tourist recreation! Well worth a visit.

We were about to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge but we stopped here to make sure we were well fueled for the trip. I was offered a seat at the bar by the owner who made sure my wife and I could sit together. The bar tender was a nice Irish woman who made sure we were well taken care of. Maybe the week we spent in the fast pace atmosphere of New York jaded us, but this place was quiet and helpful. Really enjoyed our time there.
