Years from now, theme parks will spend great amounts of money to emulate the singular experience of Big Nick's. The hilariously vast menu, (try the "health soup" – despite its name – is a flavorful lentil/garbanzo veggie soup with a dollop of Greek yoghurt). But there is a bottomless well of surprisingly excellent made-on-premises foods. And the decor – wallpaper of witticisms and twenty year old "NEW ON THE MENU" signs, the actor head shots, some neon, scattered little ancient black and white TVs with 'The 3 Stooges' looping for some reason unknown to me – and the staff are pure glorious chaotic old New York.

We found this place after an evening out and with a starving family at 1am, and to be honest were not expecting much from a 24 hour burger joint. Pleasantly surprised. Grateful for an air conditioned restaurant (although I thought we were walking through the kitchen on the way in), and friendly staff served up good, no-nonsense food. Not a gourmet experience, but tasty and decent portions. Individual decor gives character to the place. No complaints on pricing given the area and overall experience.

Had dinner delivered from here using Seamless.com. Burgers were great. Didn't like the fried pickles though

$28 for a mediocre large pizza, 1/2 plain and 1/2 with canned mushrooms and olives? Extortion. I'll never order from them again. Order a much better thin crust pizza from Papparedella on West 75th instead. It should be called Fat Greedy Nick's.

Close to my hotel, so I went for a cheeseburger...so much for "best burger in NY" So awful, I only ate half of it and that was only because I was starving. $16.00 for a burger and fries.....
