Description: Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

“Great food!”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

We were searching for a new place go eat after our show. We came across Carmine's. They recommend reservations, but please know that they aren't required. We saw an early show and stopped in to put our name in for dinner. It was a 2 hour wait, but who cares, we are in New York. We did some shopping and then returned. What a treat! The food was fabulous! Yes, the portions are huge. They are meant to share family style. We had Chicken Marsala and lasagna. They were both very good. We also had a delicious salad to start and tiramisu for dessert. The whole meal was amazing. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the great experience!

“We love it!”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

Our family of four first enjoyed Carmine's when the kids were young and first visited NYC with us. The family-style serving was perfect then and perfect now. This visit was with our 20-something son and his girlfriend who both live and work in Manhattan and have enjoyed dining at Carmine's on their own. After telling the waiter we were heading to a 7 PM show he was attentive to the necessary timing and got us out in perfect time so that we could walk to the theater without a worry of being late. Our dinner included crusty focaccia and other breads, the delicious Carmine's salad loaded with meat, cheese, olives, peppers, tomatoes, and mixed greens, and wonderful chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta--generous portions that easily fed the four of us. Service, food, atmosphere were all outstanding and memorable; we intend to return!

“Great food. Massive portions.”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

Came here for lunch knowing that they had large portions. There were only 2 of us so we ordered an appetizer of the spicy wings and an entree of Lasagna.

Between 2 grown men, we could barely eat half of the food. Each were very good, but would make more sense if they offered half portions. Tons of food getting wasted for no reason.

“Huge dishes of delicious pasta”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

Save Carmine's for a night you are really hungry ! It's fantastic Italian cuisine served family style ( in massive portions). I had pesto linguine with prawns, which I definitely recommend. The prices are not inexpensive , but not unreasonable. Also it usually gets busy so I would recommend getting reservations.

“huge portions, family style, great food”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

great Italian food. everything is served on family-style platters, meant to share. If there's only 2 of you, you'd better be starving or prepared to take home a doggy bag. Everything looks good and the pasta and veal parmigiana that we tried was excellent. Huge! Would love to go back and try some other dishes. Busy place in a great location in Times Square.
