Description: Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

“Loved the Big Portions”

Our family enjoyed the big portions that were served. We were able to order 4 meals and split between two large families. Loved it and we always recommend it to anyone that is visiting NYC.

“Dinner in NY”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

The wait was very long, which isn't a bad thing because to me it shows people like the restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar upstairs because their were open seats. The food was very good and the portion sizes were very large as advertised. I would recommend this to anyone looking to eat down in time square as we felt the prices were not outrageously expensive for the food portions.

Great for groups (not for quiet dining experience). Family-sized portions (drinks and food) and fun ambience.

“Obscene amounts of food”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

We went with a group of New Yorker friends who had pre ordered food. The waitress started with "Don't forget you have 4 courses and need to pace yourselves", this should have rung alarm bells immediately. The entrees were very nicely served and tasty but HUGE! And the theme continued, it seemed as if everyone was leaving the restaurant with doggy bags which would probably feed them for the rest of the week but why do it?? What's fun about leaving whole dishes???

The service was good, the wines good value but the food was all about volume. If you have any type of food allergy forget it - they really failed to cater for one of our party who has a gluten allergy.

“LOVE THIS PLACE!”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

I absolutely love this restaurant! Some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. I love the way they offer the food. It's made for large families.. I picture it as Italian style!! We paid the same amount we do when we go out pretty much anywhere...which was great because NY can be way too expensive at times. Do not pass this restaurant by!
