Description: Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Every time we visit New York we head to Carmine's in Midtown.Alot of noise and bustle, but the service is friendly and attentive.Portions are huge and truly family size.Veal dishes are excellent and there is an impressive number of pasta dishes.Don't miss the cheesecake.

“Only Order One Entree Per Two People”

If done correctly, this is the best deal on Italian food in NYC. Otherwise, you will end up with leftovers and (tourists) have nowhere to bring them to.

Make a reservation, even if late. This place is running at full capacity from 5pm - midnight.

Always a hit Pre or Post Shows. Loved the stuffed artichoke hearts!! Service was excellent, but make sure you have a reservation, or go off times .

“"Bring a crowd"”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

This is family dining the way it should be. The portions are both large and good. The price was "reasonable" for Midtown.

We had 6 adults and ordered one salad, 2 pastas (lasagna and clam linguini), Egg Plant Parmesan and a side of meatballs. Everyone was starving after a day of walking New York and even with three large eaters in the group we could not finish.

The food was great and service was wonderful.

Highly recommend for a large group but not for a couple.

Delicious food and wonderful, friendly service. Highly recommend Carmine's. Have been wanting to go there our last two visits to NYC and this time we finally made it. So glad we did.
