Description: Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

The place is huge but they are extremely efficient. Portions are huge and surprisingly good. Great for an after theater meal. Best chicken wings in the world.

What an amazing restaurant. They mean it when they say family style. We split the lasagna which was enough for 5 people. It was the best I've ever had. The table beside us shared their beef tenderloin special which was great. Good service. Large portions and good prices. Tucked in Times Square but an old NY feel.

10 of us went to Carmine' s in April and had a wonderful meal. We had a fabulous chicken dish.. you get a cut up whole chicken. We had a delicious country style pasta in a white sauce and we had mussels (very good but not portioned right for price. I thought it was skimpy...mussels are cheap). We had calamari and that was very plentiful. Also ravioli and a huge salad with portabella mushrooms in the salad. That fed 10 and we still had leftovers. A nice experience. Great drinks (didn't care for wine glass) so I had a martini and some had beer and wine. Good bread basket with olive oil.

Was able to visit this restaurant with a large group and had a pre-planned menu. What we had was not the normal fare that we would have ordered had we been just family. The dishes we where provided we alright, but not something I would order again. I don't believe this would be a place I would visit again, unless asked to join someone. I felt the prices were somewhat steep compared to other places we had dined.

We had a great client luncheon for a couple of out of town'ers. The reservation was at 11:30 when the restaurant opens; which I highly recommend as we got a table at the windows and the noise level was moderate.
