Really liked our brunch experience here. Mexican/Asian fusion - yup, we loved it! The menu is great, with lots of good choices. The breakfast tostada was different and delicious, and came with a nice little salad. Brunch is an excellent value with the complimentary beverage. Nice decor. Would like to return for dinner.

Great drinks, great food, great service - couldn't ask for more. Arrived a bit early for our reservation, so we decided to have a drink at the bar - they have a very large selection of premium vodkas and tequilas. Bartender was knowledgeable and made several good recommendations. Moved into dining room - was very dark, difficult to read the menus, good thing there are candles on the tables. It was quite loud, we did have difficulty hearing each other, but that it not unusual for Manhattan restaurants near theaters. Food was terrific - I started with the shrimp dumplings, spouse had tuna/salmon tartar, both quite tasty. Entrees were the scallops - they come with this awesome "unfried" rice which seems to be a specialty of the house, since we saw people just ordering plates of the rice, and a sushi/sashimi special - the fish was delicious, so buttery, some of the best sushi I have ever had. Will definitely be back!

This is also one of those upper west side restaurants where the locals go out for a good meal.
The food is quite good, and well presented with a Mexican/ Asian combination of flavors. Strange as it sounds, it works well with the menu.

The bar is heavily stocked with Tequila. We often go there to drink. They make the 2nd best Margarita we have ever tasted, with fresh juice. you can buy it by the pitcher, but keep in mind it packs a wallop. One pitcher between two people is enough to ensure a hangover for the next day.

Favorite Dish: Tequila - tequila - tequila

In this bar you can distinguish the difference between crap bar tequila that most places serve and the real deal. You will be surprised to find out that good tequila is like a fine aged single malt, and each one has its own character.

Also, good tequila is not a shooter and you do not need salt and a lime to kill the horrid taste. Discover what the difference is, even if it is only in a margarita to start.....

We had dinner at Citrus Bar & Grill during our short stay in New York. The service was great. We weren't in a hurry and wanted to relax and enjoy our dinner and a nice bottle of wine. The waitress was more than accommodating and didn't try to rush us in and out. The food was fantastic. We shared sushi for starters and then had paella each for our main meal. It was nice to be able to take our time and enjoy, and we did just that.

A great night, excellent food and service.

My 15 year old daughter picked this spot on first-sight, based only the name and customers visible through their windows. Having unsuccessfully struck out on a quest for cookies from Levain Bakery (the line there was huge), we were very hungry when we spotted Citrus.

The dining side felt a little formal for what we had in mind and I requested we sit in the bar side.

We were quickly seated at a high top by the window and it was perfect with a great view of the street and the dining room.

The bartender acted as our waiter and that was a bit of a challenge as his english was a bit rough. The place quickly began to fill up as we considered the menu. Before long, the bartender got some assistance and he was able to really focus on his customers- great save on their part!

My daughter took his suggestion and had a breakfast tostada and I did the same with Eggs Benedict, which we shared. Both were very fresh and tasty and the portions were plentiful.

She had a fresh squeezed fruit concoction and a Bloody Mary for me. Again, very happy with both choices which were suggestions of the bartender.

On a side note, MTV had a crew in the basement (across from their restrooms) taping a pilot for a new show. The crew was polite and professional and managed to do their thing without disrupting the dining experience at Citrus.
