“Great food.”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Luckily got a table quickly. Usually it´s packed, don´t go on weekends unless very early.
Service wasn´t friendly. Eggs Benedict and pancakes were really good.

“If they could bottle the aromas!”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

The food here is simply outstanding--I am only sorry I couldn't try many more of the dishes that we watched (and smelled) going by. Omelettes were flawlessly prepared with farm fresh ingredients bursting with flavor--I had a special stuffed with mushrooms, oysters and goat cheese, and kept insisting it was too large for me to finish. . . until I realized that I had. The aromas of pancakes, covered in bananas or blueberries, wafted over from adjacent tables and were sublime. Sandwiches were generously sized, and delicious. My daughter ordered Eggs Benedict and quite simply stated, "This is how it's done." Salads were lightly dressed and fresh, and a lovely accompaniment to the omelettes. And the coffee was rich and irresistible. It's a bustling place, but the waitstaff was gracious and professional. I can't wait to return to try things I saw on the menu.

“Be prepare to wait if you want to have a good breakfast!”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Clinton St. Baking doesn't accept reservation and they are busy. Be prepare to wait outside for an hour or even more to enter this heavenly place. Your breakfast might become a brunch, so if you are in a hurry don't go there.
Once inside we had the pancake – they were voted best in NY and they deserved it. The juice and the coffee were good too. Don't expect to spend too much time inside either, when you are done someone is always waiting to get you table...

“A Must-do in NYC !”
Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed an amazing breakfast of blueberry pancakes, French toast, eggs with their hot chocolate and apple cider ! Brilliant preparations and good portions. Don't miss their vanilla chocolate cake as well. But as with all great restaurants - be prepared to wait for atleast 40 mins, but definitely worth every wait and effort!

“Rank: A-. Despite the Lines, Arguably the Best Brunch”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Arguably, one of the best brunch/breakfast places in all of Manhattan. This is my favorite brunch place, mainly due to the fluffy blueberry pancakes w/ warm maple butter. I've had nearly everything on the menu and the huevos rancheros, eggs bendict, brioche french toast, and Spanish scramble are all delicious. If there is a knock, it's that the blueberries can be sour sometimes...and yes, the wait time can be killer. If you go during the weekdays, or first thing on the weekend, the line is not as bad. I've waited as long as three hours, but will never do that again - brunch at this price is not worth that. That being said, they've got an electronic on-line wait system, so you can leave and walk about and still monitor where you are in line on your phone.
