Arrived in the city for a weekend with boys last month. I don't know my way around this intimidating metropolis( NYC is no San Francisco or Boston much more manageable and livable cities) but a couple of my friends do so we ended up at the Cottage on a Sat. night.
Would have liked to stay and write a more extensive review but we ordered to go and back to the hotel we went. When it comes to Chinese, i usually stick to the basics and it was no different this time around. An extensive menu is great but I'm not real adventurous.
Me and the boys got a host of items and i ordered the chicken pad thai which I've come to love but i actually didn't get around to eating till Sun. night after i arrived home and it was still excellent. and so was the price. Under $10 for a good sized portion. Another reviewer mentioned free white wine that i'm sure probably wasn't available for take-out. Don't know whether there are other Cottage restaurants in the city and under the same ownership. Next time, I'd like to eat in and have a nice relaxing dinner. Very affordable and very good. Two thumbs up in honor of the late film critic Roger Ebert.
