This is a rare event as well as dining experience. Pre-planning is worth it if not annoying. Hard to get a table at this hot spot. 14-course tasting menu is all you can get here, unless you sit at the bar. And it's pricey. $225/person without wine. That said, it was a unique culinary adventure. 3 1/2 hours flew by as courses came with proud descriptions by each of its creators, head waitperson perfect. Attentive but not intrusive. From oysters to sun chokes, to celery root to beef tartare, duck. All memorable, especially the sauces. Fresh, sweet, bright. Okay, the salad guy and sommelier were a little gimmicky. But, all in all, this is a once in a lifetime must dine.
Kudos to Kevin and his front of the house staff.
