I had veg spring rolls that were OK (they were still cold in the centre but that could happen anywere, veg dumplings which great and tom yum soup, not very Chinese but very tasty. All were vegan. Served with green tea. All for 19$ incl. tip. Service is very pragmatic.

“While you are in China Town shopping or after visiting 9/11 memorial, Brooklyn bridge...”

The food taste excellent and costs nothing at this cute dumpling house. There are many fancy places in china town for dinner but this is the place for a spontaneous visit any day while you are in the area whether alone or with company. Take their famous steamed dumplings as an appetizer and pick an exotic main course. I suggest to even try one more appetizer. Bring home if you cant finish all. This is not the Chinese take out on your block, you will discover the difference. Take the scenic route and get mesmerized by the "grand courthouses" on your way, built in a way to emphasize value given to the justice rather than palaces or other spaces of gatherings.

“Great food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

We read a lot of good reviews for this restaurant and decided to make this one our stops. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Seafood Dumplings, Pork Dumplings, Scallion Pancakes and the appetizer sampler. Needless to say, we ordered too much...but everything we had was very good. I'd say my favorite were the Seafood Dumplings, but honestly, they were all good.
We did struggle to find the place, as it it not clearly marked and blends in with the surroundings, but I'm glad we kept looking because it was worth the stop.

“Good price and fast eat in Tribeca/Chinatown”

Rest your feet from shopping and sightseeing--this has been a never failing lunch and quick bite rest stop for me for over 20 years. Try dumplings--all style and great Singapore chow fun. Note the address and cross street--You'll Be Back!

“make sure u walk into the correct restaurant ;)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

we found reviews on tripadvisor and walked into the right (wrong) restaurant. the address is a bit confusing. 111 Lafayette has two restaurants and the left one is the correct one.
yes.... dumplings are that excellent, the chinese pancakes delicious, the fried noodles yummi!
service is ok, but if you see how many are coming and going into this restaurant you'd understand why they (of course) welcome you but also would prefer you leave quickly as well!
business is going great for them. still the staff is friendly and once again (as a Chinese) the food is fantastic and quite cheap!
so go and enjoy the dumplings among lots of other delicious chinese cuisine.
