Not only the food is great, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Best to have reservations. yet, if no reservation, wait not that long depending on what day of week. Food cooked to perfection according to your request and delicious

Good location and the service was attentive but for a ranked steakhouse in Manhattan, not impressive. The steak was cold (actually luke warm) and not spiced though the accompanying mushrooms were hot. The lobster bisque was tasty but lacking evidence of an actual lobster being involved.

Me and my husbands favorite restaurant in Vegas!!
We have been several times. Warning!!! the portions are huge(well at least for a non-american)
My husband and I order an appetizer to share, then the cowboy ribeye (delicious!!!!), asparagus and a great bottle of wine. Leaves room for a fantastic dessert and you're not so uncomfortably full you can actually enjoy the meal you just had and the evening in front of you

Gallagher Steak House is a Zagat rated restaurant. The average cost for a meal $50 dollars. The appetizers cost from $10-$25 dollars. They have a coat check. Reservations are encouraged. Be ready to spend at least $200 dollars per couple or more pending what you order from the menu. Very, Very, high maintenance restaurant. Choose wisely.

We are from Southern California, so we love going to Vegas and eating at Gallagher's in the New York, New York. As a result, we had to try the original, and it did not disappoint. Service was top notch. The waiter was usually ten-fifteen from our table, yet never pushy. He was just in the area to get you a quick refill of your water, another martini, or whatever. As they say in New York, Gallagher's is a 3 bottles of wine dinner, meaning you can slow down and really enjoy each course, and have polite conversation after your meal. In Southern California, they bring your check when they bring the food. Again at Gallagher's an excellent wait staff, always near by to assist, and never pushing you out the door because they need the table.
As far as the food goes, I highly recommend the oysters. The east coast is better than the west coast with that. The soup is excellent. My wife ordered a salad (forgetting where she was). We are from California, the bread basket to the world, so we have plenty of vegetables. Sorry, but we both agreed they just don't know how to make a salad anywhere in New York. Of course the steaks were top notch. As far as the sides go, we enjoyed the sauteed mushrooms, the mashed potatoes, and the baked potatoes. We did NOT like the Gallaghers potatoes. They sound interesting, but were just steak fries. For dessert, we had cheese cake, of course New York style. The cheese cake was excellent.
If you're looking for a new, hip, groovy place to hang out, Gallagher's may not be the place for you. If you're into the classic old school steak house, I highly recommend this place.
