In an interesting and unexpected location, go here for an enjoyable japanese meal. This was nothing out the ordinary for what you would expect from a good japanese but no complaints. Night atmosphere, bamboo decor, service was acceptable and fast, and the food good. There was some different central american/japanese taco fusion dishes, the sushi was good, as were the rock shrimp tempura.

Me and my girlfriend visited the Haru in October! We didn't had a reservation but after a few minutes , the hostess sow us a really nice table in the middle of the restaurant ! Have to say it's really close to time square but is hard to fined , because it's a construction going on on the building.
After a few minutes the waiter show us the menu and left us !We been waiting quiet a bit till we get served , but we understand it because the place was full!
We try a few different thinks from the menu , and they were all delicious , but we have to say the tempura cheesecake was PHENOMENAL

Good luck for the future Haru, the chefs are really high class!

We went here before 2 separate shows and were pleased both times. The 1st time was just for a drink, the next for sushi. This is a place that we will definitely head back too....considering the location it was reasonably priced and not too crowded. A hidden gem in Time Sq.

This is a middle of the road restaurant with average food and service. Visited with my children and found it to be very busy which I thought was a good sign but then found the food to be of average quality and rushed service. Prices were high compared to the quality.

By far the best place to eat Sushi in NYC. The food was excellent and the service is incredible. Make reservations.
