“Illuminating sushi, just across TS.”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Me and my family came to this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. Sure, this is not a classical japanese restaurant, the menu offers an invitating variety of special rolls and fusion dishes with different kinds of caviar. The prices are fare, we've spent 90$ in 3 adults.
In general, the Haru Broadway is a fine place, the atmosphere is cool and the dishes are well placed.

Hope you can enjoy as we did.

“In a town full of great Japanese, this one deserves a miss”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

New York is full of great Japanese restaurants and I generally eat well by asking friends or Trip Advisor to help me find one. Last night I made the mistake of asking the InterContinental concierge and was recommended Haru. It is right in Times Square, which these days is ok, just busy. The restaurant itself is lively and that is the best thing I can say.
The napkins smelled of dirty water and the food made me uncomfortable for my health. While I adore Sushi, anything less than pristine just makes me anxious and that is exactly what I felt. I has Edamame, Miso and Chirashi. I could not eat much of the Edamame as the beans were not mature enough and the Chirashi was entirely tasteless. I actually can't complain about the Miso :-)

Reasonably priced sushi and drinks, friendly bartenders, and good energy; happy hour specials are not to be missed with innovative and fun cocktails.

“Wonderful sushi option”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Each Haru restaurant I've visited in Manhattan and Boston has been excellent. The sushi is fresh, the options creative, and the prices very reasonable. In the city, it's particularly hard to find a nice spot for sushi that doesn't totally drain the budget.
