“My Go-to Craft Beer Bar”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, not too crowded (yet) this has become my go-to pub in NYC. It is close to the Port Authority, so an easy stop on my way home. They have a great little selection of rotating taps and a wall length cooler with bottles. A good mix of American and imported craft beer. I have met several people there who are also in the artisan food business which is an anecdotal indicator of the high level of quality at this bar.

“Can I say WOW? If you love beer this is the place....”
Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

Beer selection is amazing. Beers on tap change so frequently you know it is fresh. 470+ beers to choose from in the fridges and don't forget to look in Grampa's fridge for the oldies. Food menu is simple but we have tried it all and everything is great. Nothing like a beer and a hot soft pretzel! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, atmosphere is casual and relaxed. On a Sunday afternoon you may stop in for one and then realize the sun has gone down......How does that happen?

“Outstanding range of beers from around the world”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Visited with a colleague for a beer after work while in town on business. Impressive range of beers on tap and in bottle and can, an hour wasn't long enough. Warm hospitality, knowledgable service and a relax atmosphere. Hard to imagine this is a 5 minute stroll from the mayhem of Broadway and Times Square....worth the walk.

“Great night out”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

A group of us beer lovers enjoyed a lovely evening at Beer Culture. Like the review below noted, they have some beer on tap and loads of beers from around the world in the frig that you can drink as well. They also had a handful of gluten free beers which was lovely as one of us loves beer, but sadly has a gluten intolerance. The staff was VERY friendly and knowledgable about every beer we brought to the counter. Everyone that came in and out were friendly and the overall energy of the place was laid back and fun. The music was great, not too loud. Plenty of seats and if you got the munchies they have a small, but great list of bar food. The veggie chili was awesome! I do believe this might just be my go to watering hole every time I'm in the city. Thanks for an awesome night!

“Awesome beer, beer knowledge, and comraderie!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

This place is owned and run by beer experts - beer geeks, not beer snobs. It is friendly and comfy and fun. A dozen or so taps, but HUNDREDS of bottles, all of which you can also take home. Some places that have a lot beer fill their coolers with crap - but every beer here is selected carefully.

The crowd is such a great mix - locals, theatre folk, corporate folk, scruffy beer lovers, beer world folk - the common denominator is the love for the beverages. They also have a nice eclectic selection of scotch and bourbon.

They have a small selection of food - all of which is also carefully selected just like the beer - a few panini, pretzels, meat and cheese plates. To give you and idea the mustard that comes with your pretzel is from the Ommegang brewery.

To give you more of a feel, on a recent visit, I met a friendly belgian man drinking at the bar with a lovely irish (american) woman. He was from the Duvel brewery in Belgium checking out the Ommegang brewery in Coperstown (part of his job as they own Ommegang), and the woman was owner of a large times square bar/restaurant. If THESE people are drinking here, you know its good.
