Overall we had a nice experience. Food across the board was very good and the service was good. Had some trouble with timely seating but we worked through it. Primary complaint was they pack way too many people in. We had a party of 8 and, fortunately for us, 3 got stuck at work and couldn't make it out. This proved to be a big benefit because 3 or 4 of the seats at our table were virtually unusable due to the tables next to us and a building post in the sitting area against our table. Had the full group shown we'd have had to leave and go somewhere else. So if you have a small group and don't mind being shoulder to shoulder with the table next to you, a decent place. Although we did feel the price was a bit inflated relative to better restaurants available in the area.

Was invited here by American business partners to enjoy "greatest steaks in the world, New York style,..." decided to go for the Surf & Turf option (something I had fond memories of from a Florida trip some 20 odd years ago). To be frank : I didn't finish the lobster part because taste was just not good. Steak was OK but really nothing special (I much prefer some Argentine or even Irish Angus beef I've had in recent months). Staff was doing its best, though not always super efficient (saw some very young guys, maybe 14/15 y old, is there no law against child labor in NY ?). Red wine was OK. No idea on "value for money" since I didn't pick up the tab.
Wouldn't really recommend.

Family of four, two young kids. Really happy we chose to eat Thanksgiving Dinner at the Palm in NYC after the parade. The busy atmosphere made it feel like family was around. The waitress was excellent and the food was just enough traditional, just enough restaurant to make it special!

If you’re not a member of the 837 club you should be - I was invited to a special Holiday Mixology 101 Dinner – the Ginger-Tempura Fried Nova Scotia Lobster Skewers with sweet chili sauce was the best on the menu and the Sparling Pama drink -PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur topped with La Marca Prosecco, a classic Italian sparkling wine. The Rosemary & Garlic Lamb Lollipop Chops with lemon aioli were pretty fab also.

We've always thought of the Palm for family celebrations, but it's also one of the best steakhouses in NYC. Appetizers, a very flavorful take in some old faves, fabulous baked crab cakes, good wine specials by the glass....save room for what follows.
The steaks are perfectly cooked to order, lobsters any size are tender, and the sides--oh, the sides. The perfect compromise is "half and half", a combo of cottage fries (like the best potato chips you can imagine) and fried onion rings. Spinach creamed, sautéed w/garlic or steamed addresses the need for green balance.
Just when you were certain you couldn't, you say yes to the densely perfect carrot cake and a mug of terrific coffee, you stumble out into the street vowing never to eat again, but certain that you want to come back.
