Outstanding food in terms of creativity, execution, and presentation. I had salmon steak that was excellent and anything but ordinary. One of our guests was an hour late, and the staff was extremely accommodating and never made us feel rushed. The decor changes with the season and was very creative and warm. (So does the restaurant name which can be confusing) Overall an outstanding meal.

I had dinner here with clients on a recent trip to New York. It had been recommended by a friend who raved about it and we were not disappointed. Everyone loved their salads, appetizers and desserts. Presentation was perfect, the mixture of tastes unique (a raspberry-peppercorn sorbet was surprisingly good), and the menu had sufficient breadth to satisfy everyone. The service was slower and less attentive than I would have liked or expected for an early dinner but perhaps something else was going on that I was not aware of. I would certainly return.

Park Avenue Spring is quite a large place, although it doesn’t feel that way. This restaurant’s gimmick is that they do a makeover according to the season – name (Autum, Spring, etc.), menu, and décor. As for this Spring menu, it was hard to see what made it Spring except for the featured lamb, which is only available for four, or more. Otherwise, there seemed to be little difference compared to what is done by other quality restaurants without so much emphasis. However, the food and presentation were excellent.
The restaurant appears to be divided into three main areas, but the seasonal décor adjustments seemed confined mostly to one. We had hoped for a romantic atmosphere but this was not it, at least where we were seated. On this special occasion trip we ate at another highly Tripadvisor-rated restaurant. (I have also reviewed the other) The Park Avenue came out second, mostly because it seemed pretentious – more concerned with appearance than actually providing accurate, timely service as would normally be expected. The servers ended up being okay, but were too busy to be properly attentive and alert.

Owned by the next generation of the founders of Friday's then Smith & Wollensky Park Avenue (Whatever Sesaon) has the pedigree and location for its following; mostly its upscale neighbors on storied Park Avenue.
The concept it to change everyhing with the sesaon, including its name.
Its regullars are well recieved and the changing decor and menu keep them from being bored. The food and location are a good calling card, but I find the placew can be too noisey and the service haphazard.
Unless you are a regular, there are other better choices in the neightborhood.

We went here for a birthday celebration for a large group. It was an awesome experience from start to finish. The hors d'ouvres were tasty and varied, pre-dinner drink service was great, and the food overall was excellent. I had the Halibut entree and it was the best halibut I've been served outside of Alaska. It was perfectly cooked, moist and flaky, and a good sized portion. Others at our table had steak and reported that it tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The desserts were a work of art as well as tasty. Service throughout the evening was also excellent with the kind of wait staff one would expect for a first rate restaurant.
