We stopped in for a late lunch... It was fantastic. The service was terrific... The family was all on duty... They were charming and adorable. The food was incredible!!!!! Gnocchi with meat sauce was delicious... Veal was great... Just wonderful. The owner stopped by our table twice, gave us a jar of marinara to bring home... We absolutely loved it!!!!!!!!

“Wonderful Dining Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2013

We were in NYC for a trade show at the Javits Center. We decided to have dinner at Patsy's Italian Restaurant, 236 W. 56th St. since we visited the website and liked what we saw. The restaurant was better than we had anticipated. The ambience was lovely, the food and the service were both outstanding. We happened to see the chef and complimented him on a fabulous dinner and we received a wonderful talk about the history of Patsy's. He shared with us a look at pictures of many actors and actresses who have visited the restaurant. We mentioned to him that we loved the fra diavolo sauce that he made and he gave us a complimentary jar to take home plus a recipe brochure with some of Patsy's wonderful menu items. What a nice gesture and pleasant ending to a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return soon.

“Dining with the Chef”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Our group of four had an excellent meal at Patsy's in NYC. It is a classic Italian restaurant with a gold statue of Frank Sinatra on the bar. The food was delicious and the bonus was a visit to our table by the owner. He shared pictures of stars who have visited his restaurant recently. He has been on the Today show with Hoda and Kathie Lee at least three times. The high quality of the food made our meals memorable and worthy of an excellent rating.

“Patsy's- a disappointment”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

We couldn't wait to visit Patsy's Restaurant after all the hype about this having been Frank Sinatra's most favorite restaurant. Well when a restaurant can't even get its "signature dish" right it must have slipped a bit since Frank last visited.
We arrived early on a weekday and the restaurant was not crowded so there was no excuse for our meal to be less than satisfying, but it was. The Pro's and Con's.
The Pro's: The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. However, I was a little perplexed by our waiter. Every time we asked for something he responded with what sounded like a wise crack. Was he trying to be funny or insulting? The wine was good and the chicken parmigiana was excellent.
The Con's : Cold Italian bread. I know many New York city restaurants do not serve warm bread, but that is one demerit from me. Dry Caesar salad. Our Caesar salad was so dry and unappetizing, it tasted almost like plain lettuce to me.We asked our waiter for more Caesar dressing; then it was quite good. I ordered one of Patsy's advertised "signature dishes". Veal, Rollatine Marsala. ($38). The veal cutlet was dried out, tough and leathery in texture. (A week earlier, I had printed out Patsy's menu on the internet and I was looking forward to having this dish) What was served to me was a great disappointment. Why couldn't they get their signature dish right?. Because almost everything here is al a carte and I did want to taste their pasta, I ordered a side order of spaghetti with marinara sauce ($21). The pasta tasted so strong of raw(?) garlic that I couldn't enjoy it. Over all I found Patsy's to be overpriced and disappointing
