“Good Pizza, Pleasant Ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

My wife and I had a hankering for pizza during our recent visit to New York, and went to Patsy's on 74th on the recommendation of the doorman at our hotel, a few blocks away. We knew good things were to come when we had their bread, which we dipped in olive oil, while awaiting our pizza.

The pizza crust was super (and quite crispy, as my wife had requested), and the sauce and cheese very tasty. The basil leaves on the top were an extra treat.

The restaurant has a bit of an old world look - lots of wood.

Service was prompt and pleasant.

“Fine lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

We wanted a good slice of NYC pizza and were directed here by our concierge on our way to Central Park. A nice, old school, established feel upon entering. Service was passable. Pizza is build it yourself (@ $2.50 per topping it gets pricey quick). We added some veggies and the prosciutto. I was quite impressed with the results; delicate marinara sauce, crust on thinner side (which I prefer), and the 12" enough for two at lunch. I'm no expert on 'NYC style' pizza, but i'd say this is not as good as Lombardi's, but certainly better than your average pizzeria joint. I'd recommend trying this place out is your in the neighborhood.

“Great NY Pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012 via mobile

Great Ny pizza! We were dying for Italian walking around the West side by central park. We were at our favorite cookie bakery Levain right diwn the street west of Patsys. We asked a few people and they all mentioned Patsy's. Nice atmosphere and extremely busy on a Wednesday night. We decided to go with their famous pizza which everyone was getting and it looked so good! It was amazing! We got ricotta on top which made it taste awesome. They also give you really good warm homemade bread and olive oil to dip. The place is a little crowded and you feel like you are sitting on top of people and a little noisy but it is all worth it. I highly recommend.

“Of you love pizza and Frank then come on in!!!”

As its by the history museum you get a lot of families with young kids...
The pizza is of course the best thing on the menu. Salads are okay but not worth the money.

“Not your typical new York pizza.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012 via mobile

We swung by Patsy's near central park for a very late lunch on a Sunday. It was a moderately priced Italian place, and the pizza was all a la carte, so our large, 8 NY slices of pizza was about $30. We did put a lot of toppings though-mushrooms, onions, olives, sundried tomatoes and ricotta. It all blended well and was delicious.
For appetizers, we tried the fried Zucchini with yogurt sauce. It was amazing!!!!
