The place is tiny so be prepared to queue if you do not have a reservation. We came on a Friday evening at 8 pm. and had to wait 10 minutes. There is no bar so we had to wait outside. Later in the evening the queue was even longer. It was worth waiting though. The food is execellent. Try seafood plate or seafood linguini - we recommed highly. Two course meal with 3 glasses of wine 95 $ (including tip).

This restaurant was reccomened by the folks at Kettle of Fish bar which is a Green Bay Packer fan bar just two blocks from Pesce Pasta. It was the best reccomendation I have had in approximately fifteen trips to New York. Most of the restaurants we ate in previously for business and pleasure were in Midtown and priced high. But this was some of the best Italian and best service we have experienced. Prices are $15-30. Make it a must stop in the Village.

We recently ate at this restaurant when we visited the area to see a play. The dinning room is dark and very busily decorated. The waiter was not very friendly and did not even tell us about the lunch specials. We ordered the salmon, monk fish and chicken parmesan. The salmon was definitely not fresh. It had a strong fishy taste and small. the monk fish fillet was very thin. It was not seasoned properly. The pasta side dishes were good, but the vegetable side dish was way over-cooked. The check parmesan was definitely not home made. It was probably purchased from a whole seller. The food was not very good. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This small and cozy restaurant is a hidden gem in Downtown New York.

The food is delicious and the selection on the menu is fantastic, the offer also a wine menu with prices from $20-$200.

In NYC you have millions of Italian restaurants but all taste just to tomato paste.

The stile is very rustic and old fashion and they serve really Italian food and the prices are very affordable.

I always find celebrities eating in this place.

After taking a two hour tour of Little Italy, we worked up quite an appetite. After looking at a few restaurants, we decided on Pesce Pasta Trattoria. We walked through a rope curtain into a bygone era. The restaurant looks like it could be from the early 1900's with the tin ceiling and antique fixtures. The menu is varied and several specials were available. We were a group of eleven, and you know that it is hard to please everyone, except there was not a single complaint, everyone enjoyed their meal. Four people had the special, lobster in a spicy sauce over linguini. A half a lobster in a fra diavolo sauce served over linguini, fantastic. Two people had veal parmagiana, also delicious. I had a seafood lasagna, it had a tomato seafood sauce that was very rich, and very tasty. The service was excellent and they don't rush you out, we had to ask for the bill. It was a wonderful dining experience, and we will be sure to come back when we are in the neighborhood.
