Food and service were good; but even the 'spicy' dishes weren't too spicy.

We went on a busy Saturday lunch time and the place was buzzing.Although the place was very busy we didn't have to wait long for the food to come.We ordered crispy beef with orange sauce with hot dry peppers and a mixed veg noodles, this fed 2 very hungry adults and one hungry 7 yr old. The food was better than most take aways i've had in the U.k and I will eat here again.

I visited this restaurant with a friend. Was extremely disappointed in their food. My first visit in 2 years . . . . . . . . . . . I have been going there for over 15 years but their food has really gone down hill. Their soup dumplings were horrible. Must have been frozen. Thick pastry with little juice . . . . . . . . . the opposite of how it used to be when they actually made the dumplings in the restaurant window. That part of the restaurant has been rented to another business. Also tried their pancakes and a cold noodle dish. Not Good! Too bad, This used to be a great place to eat.

The best take-out hot and sour soup in NYC (that I know of). Make sure to get take-out, though, as the amount of soup you get is about twice what you'd get eating in. Also, they have a weird policy of not serving those crunchy noodles when you eat in (maybe someone choked and sued them??), but they will load em up for you in the take-out bag. The rest of the food, from what I have seen, is nothing to write home about.
