What a gem!! Our server was friendly, efficient, handled our table of 6 with aplomb!
He chatted and discovered we were celebrating a birthday and at the end of our meal, a
sparkler and dessert were presented with a song!!! His menu suggestions were superb.
Such a nice variety on the menu and best Brushetta ever...so glad we ate our farewell
luncheon atTrattoria Dell'Arte for it provided good sustenance and memories for our journeys home.

My wife and I dined at Trattoria Dell'Arte last night, and the food could not have been better (plus the decor must be seen to be believed). (FYI: we were joined by a friend of hers from their high school years who was a Broadway actor and who was known by the staff at the restaurant.) We had ninety minutes before we all had to leave for the theatre, and the meal was perfectly paced. Among the stand-outs are the Lobster Seafood Risotto and the One Hundred and One-Layer Lasagna with a bolognese meat sauce. If you want a comfortable dining experience, noise and privacy-wise, it's CRITICAL to request one of the back rooms. (The front room is extremely loud and receives a lot of traffic, as the hostess station is located opposite the door and adjacent to the bar as well as the antipasti bar...but if you want to be seen, this is where to sit.) This restaurant has an amazing energy, and we're looking forward to our next visit!

We made Christmas dinner reservation based on our hotel's suggestion, walked into the restaurant and there was no welcome. Hostess was obviously very occupied, had to fight for her attention. Escorted to a table for 2 that looked like it was only fit for sardines, very uncomfortably close with other tables. Place was very very noisy like fish market, ambience was horrible, cold aircond blowing at us during winter. Service was slow and forgotten our appetizer order. Main course came overcooked as a result of forgotten appetizer, obviously left in heating. Iced tea served with sugar satchets instead of sugar syrup. Had to ask for water, did not get served promptly. Overcrowded restaurant, poor floor operations. Bill came to about $150 for 2, 1 appetizer, 2 entre and 2 glasses of average wine. Way too expensive for such sub standard dining experience. Avoid at all cost.

Busy room but treated well and with special attention. Martina straight up had a bit too much ice crunch in it. Antipasto buffet a specialty and very good. Try the meatball appetizer! Veal picatta tasty and sauce excellent. Wait staff helpful, pleasant and attentive. Well located across street from Carnegie Hall.

This big, bustling restaurant was already crowded at 5:30 P.M; but our group was seated quickly and we were all ready to move on to various theaters by 7:30. Portions are generally large enough to share and everything at our end of the table was delicious.
