Description: Blue Ribbon Bakery Kitchen is a West Village neighborhood favorite and destination restaurant. Restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg discovered in 1995 a 140 year-old wood burning brick oven and lovingly restored it and built Blue Ribbon Bakery Kitchen around it. We now proudly operate the only existing wood fired brick bread oven in New York City using methods learned from our time at Poilane Bakery in France, including challah, matzoh, and classic french baguettes. Our menu is eclectic and varied. Menu highlights include our award-winning Fried Chicken, Grilled Lamb Chops, Beef Marrow, locally caught fish and whole roasted pasture-to-table animals prepared in our brick oven, as well as a broad offering of lighter fare. At the heart of each Blue Ribbon Bakery experience is the wood-burning oven that sends the smell of freshly baked bread throughout the dining room. Don’t leave without walking downstairs to see the bakers in action.

Expensive. Sushi was ok. Probably way too original that I could not like it. The interior decoration was too good.

my friend and I were here last sunday for brunch. i loved the freshly baked breads especially the raisen breads, i requested the rest of the bread basket to place in doggy bag and it was granted. i had the mushroom and bacon with 2 eggs it was really delicious. the servers were very accommodating and constantly checking on your needs. my friend and I went to the bathroom and passed by the baking area on the side and met a gentleman who was working at that time to show us how big the oven was and he was glad to show us! it was very interesting how they bake breads in that unique old fashion oven. i would love to come back here again!

I've been here many times over the years, always for dinners. (They d0 lunch and brunch too.)

You can get a small dish and other people in your party can get a full meal and they don't give you a hard time about it. They have cheese plates you can have a bottle of wine with. They are a full meat eater delight but also have non-meat stuff for vegetarian people too. The food really is super awesome.

For desert, you have to get the chocolate chip bread pudding.

It can get loud and crowded but this is NYC and you kind of have to expect that.

This is a laid back brasserie style restaurant. Great location between Greenwich Village & the West Village. We had an appetizer of Crawfish in a spicy creole sauce - yummy!! Two in our group had the Halibut special which was divine &one of us had the duck breast which was delicious. The wait staff were really friendly. Don't miss the trip to the bathroom where you will go past the bakery which feels kind of medieval.

This place was a great find, but I can't claim it... One of the people in our group had recommended it and we were not disappointed. The sandwiches, soups and salads were excellent.
Everything is fresh here and they were baking bread downstairs and it smelled excellent. I had the chicken sandwich and it was on of the best sandwiches I have had.

Nice wine and cocktails list and everyone in our large group loved their lunch.
