If you are fed up with "big is better" this is the place to come in New York to enjoy a nice pastry. I will overlook the service -not even a smile, hardly welcoming (from what I understood from some search I did online the person that was behind the counter was the owner) and the capuccino. My point of attention is the shop itself, cute and warm, and the chestnut cheesecake. Forget the "best cheesecake in NY is" and put next to it all the big names that produce millions of cheesecake per year. The Ivy cheesecake is simply yummy! And you can enjoy it in a relaxed, quiet environment accompanied by nice music. You forget that you are in one of the most busiest and noisiest cities in the world.
