Two of us arrived at 11:00am (when the über-popular noodle restaurant opens for lunch), only to find it already half full. We were led, almost immediately, to seats at the horseshoe-shaped bar, greeted by all the waitstaff as we walked by. In short order we had menus and ordered pork-filled steam buns (brilliantly flavorful and, not surprisingly, ordered by almost everyone in the place); Karaka-men noodles (the spicier noodle option), and the day's special noodles in a lighter chicken broth; and tiny fruit tarts for dessert. The noodle bowls were the best we've ever had, rich and firm; the broths hearty. By the time we left, the restaurant was full, with a dozen or so waiting to be seated. We were the only non-Asian couple at the 20 or so noodle bar for most of the meal. The waitstaff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and though the tables seem to turn over quickly, we didn't feel at all rushed. Expect crowds, but your patience will be well rewarded if you come (as we intend to, over and over).

After a mid-week Broadway show, this is the perfect place to get your fill for a later night meal post-show (especially when all you've had was candy during the show). Piping hot and deliciously solid ramen during a cool evening night in the Times Square area is genius. There was no wait around 9:30pm during the weeknight unlike the their EV location where you can wait for hours on end. Although there's less to choose from on the menu, not having to wait and the consistent and tasty ramen will keep me coming back as loyal Ippudo customer many times over. What are you waiting for?

The ramen dishes here are excellent and tasty. Not cheap but well worth it. The star of the show are the buns. Try the chicken buns and you will not be disappointed. A combination of dim sum and chicken. The wings looked great too.

I love ippudo! Especially on a cold winter day... you just wish ippudo would be everywhere so you could get some ramen in their lovely broth. Try their pork buns and make sure to get their ramen (of course).

Just as good as the east village location. Slightly less of a wait. Menu is not exactly the same (no miso ramen, a few other items missing) but worth it nonetheless. Brooklyn Brewery Kaedama Ale, pork buns and Akumaru Modern ramen are sure-fire hits.
