Description: America's first fine dining restaurant, Delmonico's has been serving fine American food to New York's connoisseurs in its premier location at the heart of Manhattan's financial district. Since opening at 56 Beaver Street in 1837, Delmonico's has been renowned as the birthplace of the Delmonico Steak, Delmonico Potatoes, Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, and Baked Alaska. Upon opening, the original Delmonico's offered then-unheard of luxuries such as private dining rooms, an extensive wine cellar, innovative cuisine, and, above all, warm, personal service. Today, the restaurant continues to honour its heritage with the same warm hospitality and fine cuisine. Delmonico's menu features a range of traditional dishes in addition to the prime Delmonico Steak, aged to perfection in the aging room. Having introduced many dishes and dining customs to America, to dine at Delmonico's is to experience history.

If you want to eat and don't know what, don't come here... There are so many options that you will be more confuse. Sandwiches, salads, regular foods (cajun rice, fried chicken, pork, etc), coffee, tea, sodas and many more.

Been here numerous times for both business and pleasure. Never been disappointed. Great old time bar and restaurant. Highly recommend the Delmonico's steak. Gets crowded during the week due to it's financial district location. make sure to make a reservation.

The food, energy and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed my time at Delmonico's and am looking forward to my next visit. Kristijan my server was very friendly and personable, with an eye for fine attention to detail. He's service was above and beyond and I enjoyed every minute of time. The entire FOH staff was soo friendly and nice, I absolutely Loved it!!!

Joined a conference dinner, and loved the atmosphere, the service and the food. Fabulous steak, and unique cheesecake in a red glace. Would definitely recommend...especially after a wall street, lower Manhattan day.

A friend and I dined here during restaurant week and our experience was just lovely. The restaurant is beautifully appointed from ceiling to floor...just visually beautiful. There was a set menu for the $38 special and all the choices were appealing. We started with lobster bisque which was silky and delicious. Though this is a steak house, I ordered the arctic char on a bed of quinoa with a smear of puréed squash. The fish was cooked perfectly! Nicely seasoned and glistening on the inside. My friend ordered the petit filet mignonette, which I did taste. Again, cooked perfectly, between medium and rare. I had some sort of cheesecake but it was an individual little cake and not a slabbed wedge from a pie. It was sinfully delicious. The restaurant is divine. There is a separate bar area that was loud and noisy and would be tons of fun if you're with your own crowd. Overall, a wonderful dining experience! A great place to celebrate a special occasion or a special person. Top shelf all the way!
