“Stuffed Artichoke and Veal Sorrentine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

What a great place. There was a huge group of locals in there celebrating when we were there recently. My mother and I split the stuffed artichoke and the veal sorrentine. The stuffed artichoke was stuffed with breadcrumbs and cheese and then steamed in a flavorful broth. After my mother's homemade artichokes, this is a close second! The veal was also delicious. Veal topped with prosciutto, fried eggplant, mozzarella, and a marsala sauce. I'd come back here any day!

“Good food and service in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

The restaurant is in a great location on Mulberry Street for those who want to dine in Little Italy. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we were on their doorstep as the staff were hospitable and friendly. It didn't stop there.. the food was amazing. Probably the best Italian food we've had and at a very reasonable price.

“Expensive and poor food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

Portions were very small and food was very basic, no real flavor!

Coffee was awful and cost 7 dollars, come on, 7 Dollars!

they automatically put on 20% tip and the service was mediocre at best.

“Small portions”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

This place charges $16 for gnocchis and $18 for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs(2). The portion size is smaller than most restaurant's appetizer size. We had 10 gnocchis on our plate. No salads came with any of the meals. They do not have coffee, only espresso. We all ordered water. We were a party of 8 and no one ordered anything but the gnocchis and our bill was $182 which included a $28 tip that was NOT listed as a tip. Our waiter disappeared after he brought us our dinners and when we were done, he brought the check, never once asking if anyone wanted dessert. We would have ordered it for sure since everyone was still hungry. Save your money and go elsewhere. While the food WAS good, it did not compensate for the fact that it was a ridiculously small portion size and our entire party left the restaurant hungry. BIG RIP OFF.
