Enjoyed Brick Lane, probably the best of Indian restaurants lining that stretch of E 6th St in the East Village. Professional service, and nice ambience too. We love spicy but were warned off the famous "Phal"- but we ordered a side of the Phal sauce to try and YIKES! My vindaloo was quite hot enough thank you and very good.

Every time we visit NYC, we must stop at Brick Lane! The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

Can not fault this restaurant for authentic curry Brick Lane UK style. See through the decor of the restaurant which is also a bit on the small side and then sample the delights of the food. The only recommendation I would give is that the beer could be colder which is a constructive suggestion only. We had tikka masala, jalfrezi, daal makhani, naans and rice. The food was top notch, prices ok for quality food and service. Try the phaal if you dare !
Would not hesitate to recommend this place and we can't wait to go back ! A must do for curry fans.

Go for the food, not the decor. I stumbled on this little hideaway and thought I would try it. Coming from abbotsford, canada I know a thing or two about curry, I had the lamb vindaloo, beautifully spicy with that lovely aftertaste, a smooth and subtle saag, raita and onion naan.
Good service, friendly people, and wonderful curry!
