“Good thing it wasn't crowded”
Reviewed August 29, 2012 via mobile

We had lunch at Vin et Fleurs. It was our first time there. Good thing it wasn't crowded because it is really close quarters in there. The service was VERY slow but good. Water glasses were filled promptly. The bread was delicious.
My friend loved the lunch, me not so much. I left hungry. It was tasty but not worth the price.
When people say this place is romantic their idea of romantic is sure different from mine unless they think texting through a date in a crowded restaurant is romantic.
The kitchen staff seems very competent and creative so I may give it another try.

“Our Lunch at Vin et Fleurs”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Saturday was a very hot day in SoHo. We decided to drop in to this tiny wine bar establishment for lunch. Tables are small and closely spaced, and the smallish chairs and banquette bench have wooden seats and seat-backs. We each had a glass of wine, then ordered a grilled salad with eggplant, and a Croque Monsieur with Smoked Salmon. The service was a bit slow that day. Also we wished the cafe had run the air conditioner prior to opening since it was rather warm inside. Both the salad and the Croque Monsieur were excellent, however, and the rose and white wines we had were refreshing. The waiter did repeatedly fill our water glasses, and service was, on the whole, very friendly. Price is high for lunch, but the food was quite good.
